The datapump directory doesn't exist

2. The user trying to import doesn't have read/write privilege to access the directory.

In my case this was my parfile:

userid=ecom/ecompassword
DIRECTORY=DATA_PUMP_DIR
dumpfile=ecom_from_QA_042809.dmp
logfile=imp_ecom_from_QA_042809.log
TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=APPEND

I issued the following statment and then it went through successfully:

SQL> grant read,write on directory DATA_PUMP_DIR to ecom;

Also, just make sure that the DATA_PUMP_DIR exists.

Thanks,
