When I enabled aio on the LPAR, RMAN takes drastically too long time to complete backup , but if i disable aio on the same , the backup
is completed within one hour , i don't understand this peculier behaviour , could some one make me understand why it is so , any
config to be changed to aio to work correctly.

and the asynchronous parameter setups at database level

Thanks.   I realized it afterwards to set the parameters.  I will post my version and OS info next time.  I didn't realized it when i posted it.  Thanks for your help.
